利未的子孙照摩西的话行了。那一天百姓中被杀的约有三千。
And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men

摩西说，今天你们要自洁，归耶和华为圣，各人攻击他的儿子和弟兄，使耶和华赐福与你们。
For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day

到了第二天，摩西对百姓说，你们犯了大罪。我如今要上耶和华那里去，或者可以为你们赎罪。
And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin

摩西回到耶和华那里，说，唉，这百姓犯了大罪，为自己作了金像。
And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold

倘或你肯赦免他们的罪，。。。。。。不然，求你从你所写的册上涂抹我的名。
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written

耶和华对摩西说，谁得罪我，我就从我的册上涂抹谁的名。
And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book

现在你去领这百姓，往我所告诉你的地方去，我的使者必在你前面引路，只是到我追讨的日子，我必追讨他们的罪。
Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them

耶和华杀百姓的缘故是因他们同亚伦作了牛犊。
And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made

耶和华吩咐摩西说，我曾起誓应许亚伯拉罕，以撒，雅各说，要将迦南地赐给你的后裔。现在你和你从埃及地所领出来的百姓，要从这里往那地去。
And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it

我要差遣使者在你前面，撵出迦南人，亚摩利人，赫人，比利洗人，希未人，耶布斯人，

And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite
