故此，以色列人要世世代代守安息日为永远的约。

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant

这是我和以色列人永远的证据，因为六日之内耶和华造天地，第七日便安息舒畅。

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed

耶和华在西奈山和摩西说完了话，就把两块法版交给他，是神用指头写的石版。

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God

百姓见摩西迟延不下山，就大家聚集到亚伦那里，对他说，起来，为我们作神像，可以在我们前面引路，因为领我们出埃及地的那个摩西，我们不知道他遭了什么事。

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him

亚伦对他们说，你们去摘下你们妻子，儿女耳上的金环，拿来给我。
And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me

百姓就都摘下他们耳上的金环，拿来给亚伦。
And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron

亚伦从他们手里接过来，铸了一只牛犊，用雕刻的器具作成。他们就说，以色列阿，这是领你出埃及地的神。

And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt

亚伦看见，就在牛犊面前筑坛，且宣告说，明日要向耶和华守节。
And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD

次日清早，百姓起来献燔祭和平安祭，就坐下吃喝，起来玩耍。

And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play

小北

耶和华吩咐摩西说，下去吧，因为你的百姓，就是你从埃及地领出来的，已经败坏了。

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves
