左咡

有落在土浅石头地上的。土既不深，发苗最快。Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

日头出来一晒，因为没有根，就枯乾了。And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

有落在荆棘里的。荆棘长起来，把他济住了。And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

又有落在好土里的，就结实，有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

有耳可听的，就应当听。Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

左咡

[BR]门徒进前来，问耶稣说，对众人讲话，为什么用比喻呢。And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

左咡

[BR]耶稣回答说，因为天国的奥秘，只叫你们知道，不叫他们知道。He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

左咡

凡有的，还要加给他，叫他有馀。凡没有的，连他所有的，也要夺去。For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

所以我用比喻对他们讲，是因他们看也看不见，听也听不见，也不明白。Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

在他们身上，正应了以赛亚的预言说，你们听是要听见，却不明白。看是要看见，却不晓得。And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
