地岂不因这事震动，其上的居民，不也悲哀吗。地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河涌上落下。Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
主耶和华说，到那日，我必使日头在午间落下，使地在白昼黑暗。And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
我必使你们的节期变为悲哀，歌曲变为哀歌。众人腰束麻布，头上光秃，使这场悲哀如丧独生子，至终如痛苦的日子一样。And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
主耶和华说，日子将到，我必命饥荒降在地上。人饥饿非因无饼，乾渴非因无水，乃因不听耶和华的话。Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
他们必飘流，从这海到那海，从北边到东边，往来奔跑，寻求耶和华的话，却寻不着。And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
那指着撒玛利亚牛犊（原文作罪）起誓的说，但哪，我们指着你那里的活神起誓。又说，我们指着别是巴的神道（神原文作活）起誓。这些人都必仆倒，永不再起来。They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.
[BR]我看见主站在祭坛旁边。他说，你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，打碎柱顶，落在众人头上。所剩下的人，我必用刀杀戮。无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

他们虽然挖透阴间，我的手必取出他们来。虽然爬上天去，我必拿下他们来。Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必搜寻，捉出他们来。虽然从我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他们。And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
