因为你守暗利的恶规，行亚哈家一切所行的，顺从他们的计谋。因此，我必使你荒凉，使你的居民令人嗤笑。你们也必担当我民的羞辱。For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
[BR]哀哉，我（或作以色列）好像夏天的果子已被收尽，又像摘了葡萄所剩下的。没有一挂可吃的，我心羡慕初熟的无花果。Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

地上虔诚人灭尽，世间没有正直人。各人埋伏，要杀人流血。都用网罗猎取弟兄。The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
他们双手作恶。君王徇情面，审判官要贿赂。位分大的吐出恶意。都彼此结联行恶。That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.
他们最好的，不过是蒺藜。最正直的，不过是荆棘篱笆。你守望者说降罚的日子已经来到。他们必扰乱不安。The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
不要倚赖邻舍。不要信靠密友。要守住你的口，不要向你怀中的妻题说。Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
因为，儿子藐视父亲，女儿抗拒母亲，媳妇抗拒婆婆。人的仇敌，就是自己家里的人。For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
我的仇敌阿，不要向我夸耀。我虽跌倒，却要起来。我虽坐在黑暗里，耶和华却作我的光。Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
我要忍受耶和华的恼怒，因我得罪了他。直等他为我辨屈，为我伸冤。他必领我到光明中，我必得见他的公义。I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
