耶和华晓谕摩西说，

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying

你告诉以色列人当为我送礼物来，凡甘心乐意的，你们就可以收下归我。
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering

所要收的礼物，就是金，银，铜，
And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass

蓝色，紫色，朱红色线，细麻，山羊毛，
And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair

染红的公羊皮，海狗皮，皂荚木，
And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood

点灯的油并作膏油和香的香料，
Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense

红玛瑙与别样的宝石，可以镶嵌在以弗得和胸牌上。
Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate

又当为我造圣所，使我可以住在他们中间。

And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them

制造帐幕和其中的一切器具都要照我所指示你的样式。

According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it

要用皂荚木作一柜，长二肘半，宽一肘半，高一肘半。

And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof
