惟有一个撒玛利亚人，行路来到那里。看见他就动了慈心，But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

上前用油和酒倒在他的伤处，包裹好了，扶他骑上自己的牲口，带到店里去照应他。And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

第二天拿出二钱银子来，交给店主说，你且照应他。此外所费用的，我回来必还你。And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee

你想这三个人，那一个是落在强盗手中的邻舍呢。Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

他说，是怜悯他的。耶稣说，你去照样行吧。And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise

他们走路的时候，耶稣进了一个村庄。有一个女人名叫马大，接他到自己家里。Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

他有一个妹子名叫马利亚，在耶稣脚前坐着听他得道。And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

马大伺候的事多，心里忙乱，就进前来说，主阿，我的妹子留下我一个人伺候，你不在意吗。请吩咐他来帮助我。But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

耶稣回答说，马大，马大，你为许多的事，思虑烦扰。And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

但是不可少的只有一件。马利亚已经选择那上好的福分，是不能夺去的。But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her
