他们喊着说，除掉他，除掉他，钉他在十字架上。彼拉多说，我可以把你们的王钉十字架吗。祭司长回答说，除了凯撒，我们没有王。But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

于是彼拉多将耶稣交给他们去钉十字架。Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

他们就把耶稣带了去。耶稣背着自己的十字架出来，到了一个地方，名叫髑髅地，希伯来话叫各各他。And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

他们就在那里钉他在十字架上，还有两个人和他一同钉着，一边一个，耶稣在中间。Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

彼拉多又用牌子写了一个名号，安在十字架上。写的是犹太人的王，拿撒勒人耶稣。And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

有许多犹太人念这名号。因为耶稣被钉十字架的地方，与城相近，并且是用希伯来，罗马，希腊，三样文字写的。This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

犹太人的祭司长，就对彼拉多说，不要写犹太人的王。要写他自己说我是犹太人的王。Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

彼拉多说，我所写的，我已经写上了。Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

左咡

兵丁既然将耶稣钉在十字架上，就拿他的衣服分为四分，每兵一分。又拿他的里衣。这件里衣，原是没有缝儿，是上下一片织成的。Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

他们就彼此说，我们不要撕开，只要拈阄，看谁得着。这要应验经上的话说，他们分了我的外衣，为我的里衣拈阄。兵丁果然作了这事。They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
