左咡

[BR]西门彼得正站着烤火，有人对他说，你不也是他的门徒吗。彼得不承认，说，我不是。
[BR]And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

左咡

[BR]有大祭司的一个仆人，是彼得削掉耳朵那人的亲属，说，我不是看见你同他在园子里吗。
[BR]One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

左咡

[BR]彼得又不承认。立时鸡就叫了。
[BR]Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

左咡

[BR]众人将耶稣从该亚法那里往衙门内解去。那时天还早。他们自己却不进衙门，恐怕染了污秽，不能吃逾越节的筵席
[BR]Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

[BR]彼拉多就出来，到他们那里，说，你们告这人是为什么事呢。
[BR]Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?

左咡

他们回答说，这人若不是作恶的，我们就不把他交给你。They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.

左咡

彼拉多说，你们带他去，按着你们的律法审问他吧。犹太人说，我们没有杀人的权柄。Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:

这要应验耶稣所说，自己将要怎样死的话了。That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.

左咡

彼拉多又进了衙门，叫耶稣来，对他说，你是犹太人的王吗。Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

左咡

耶稣回答说，这话是你自己说的，还是别人论我对你说的呢。Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
