所以天父的儿子若叫你们自由，你们就真自由了。If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed

我知道你们是亚伯拉罕的子孙，你们却想要杀我。因为你们心里容不下我的道。I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you

我所说的，是在我父那里看见的。你们所行的，是在你们的父那里听见的。I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father

左咡

他们说，我们的父就是亚伯拉罕。耶稣说，你们若是亚伯拉罕的儿子，就必行亚伯拉罕所行的事。They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham

[BR]我将在神那里所听见的真理，告诉了你们，现在你们却想要杀我。这不是亚伯拉罕所行的事。
[BR]But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham

西门彼得带着一把刀，就拔出来，将大祭司的仆人砍了一刀，削掉他的右耳。那仆人名叫马勒古。Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

耶稣就对彼得说，收刀入鞘吧。我父所给我的那杯，我岂可不喝呢。Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

那队兵和千夫长并犹太人的差役，就拿住耶稣，把他捆绑了。Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

左咡

先带到亚那面前。因为亚那是本年作大祭司该亚法的岳父。And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

左咡

这该亚法，就是从前向犹太人发议论说，一个人替百姓死是有益的那位。Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
