耶稣又往约旦河外去，到了约翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那里。And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

有许多人来到他那里。他们说约翰一件神迹没有行过。但约翰指着这人所说的一切话都是真的。And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.

在那里信耶稣的人就多了。And many believed on him there.

[BR]有一个患病的人，名叫拉撒路，住在伯大尼，就是马利亚和他姐姐马大的村庄。Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

九命猫

[BR]这马利亚就是那用香膏抹主，又用头发擦他脚的。患病的拉撒路是他的兄弟。(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

他姊妹两个就打发人去见耶稣说，主阿，你所爱的人病了。Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

耶稣听见就说，这病不至于死，乃是为神的荣耀，叫神的儿子因此得荣耀。When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

耶稣素来爱马大，和他妹子，并拉撒路。Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

听见拉撒路病了，就在所居之地，仍住了两天。When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was

然后对门徒说，我们再往犹太去吧。Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
