天使对他说，马利亚不要怕。你在神面前已经蒙恩了。And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

你要怀孕生子，可以给他起名叫耶稣。And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

他要为大，称为至高者的儿子。主神要把他祖大卫的位给他。He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

他要作雅各家的王，直到永远。他的国也没有穷尽。And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

马利亚对天使说，我没有出嫁，怎吗有这事呢。Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

左咡

天使回答说，圣灵要临到你身上，至高者的能力要荫庇你。因此所要生的圣者，必称为神的儿子。（或作所要生的必称为圣称为神的儿子）And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

况且你的亲戚伊利莎白，在年老的时候，也怀了男胎。就是那素来称为不生育的，现在有孕六个月了。And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

因为出于神的话，没有一句不带能力的。For with God nothing shall be impossible.

左咡

马利亚说，我是主的使女，情愿照你的话成就在我身上。天使就离开他去了。And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

那时候马利亚起身，急忙往山地里去，来到犹大的一座城。And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
