左咡

那些童女就都起来收拾灯。Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

左咡

愚拙的对聪明的说，请分点油给我们。因为我们的灯要灭了。And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

左咡

聪明的回答说，恐怕不够你我用的。不如你们自己到卖油的那里去买吧。But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

左咡

他们去买的时候，新郎到了。那豫备好了的，同他进去坐席。门就关了。And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

左咡

其馀的童女，随后也来了，说，主阿，主阿，给我们开门。Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

左咡

他却回答说，我实在告诉你们，我不认识你们。But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

左咡

所以你们要儆醒，因为那日子，那时辰，你们不知道。Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

左咡

天国又好比一个人要往外国去，就叫了仆人来，把他的家业交给他们。For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

左咡

按着各人的才干，给他们银子。一个给了五千，一个给了二千，一个给了一千。就往外国去了。And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

那领五千的，随既拿去做买卖，另外赚了五千。Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
