法利赛人出去，同希律一党的人商议，怎样可以除灭耶稣。And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

耶稣和门徒退到海边去。有许多人从加利利跟随他。But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,

还有许多人听见他所作的大事，就从犹太，耶路撒冷，以土买，约旦河外，并推罗西顿的四方，来到他那里。And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

他因为人多，就吩咐门徒叫一只小船伺候着，免得众人拥挤他。And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

他治好了许多人，所以凡有灾病的，都挤进来要摸他。For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

污鬼无论何时看见他就俯伏在他面前喊着说，你是神的儿子。And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God

耶稣再三的嘱咐他们，不要把他显露出来。And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

耶稣上了山，随自己的意思叫人来，他们便来到他那里。And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

他设立十二个人，要他们常和自己同在，也要差他们去传道，And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
