左咡

法利赛人对耶稣说，看哪，他们在安息日为什么作不可作的事呢。And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

左咡

耶稣对他们说，经上记着大卫和跟从他的人，缺乏肌饿之时所作的事，你们没有念过吗。And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

左咡

他当亚比亚他作大祭司的时候，怎样进了神的殿，吃了陈设饼，又给跟从他的人吃。这饼除了祭司以外，人都不可吃。How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

左咡

又对他们说，安息日是为人设立的，人不是为安息日设立的。And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

左咡

所以人子也是安息日的主Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

左咡

[BR]耶稣又进了会堂。在那里有一个人枯乾了一只手。And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

左咡

众人窥探耶稣，在安息日医治不医治，意思是要控告耶稣。And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

左咡

耶稣对那枯乾一只手的人说，起来，站在当中。And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

左咡

又问众人说，在安息日行善行恶，救命害命，那样是可以的呢。他们都不作声。And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

左咡

耶稣怒目周围看他们，忧愁他们的心刚硬，就对那人说，伸出手来。他把手一伸，手就复了原。And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
