左咡

你摆设筵席，倒要请那贫穷的，残废的，瘸腿的，瞎眼的，你就有福了。But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

因为他们没有什么可报答你。到义人复活的时候，你要得着报答。And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

左咡

同席的友一人听见这话，就对耶稣说，在神国里吃饭的有福了。And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

左咡

耶稣对他说，有一人摆设大筵席，请了许多客。Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

到了坐席的时后，打发仆人去对所请的人说，请来吧。样样都齐备了。And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

左咡

众人一口同音的推辞。头一个说，我买了一块地，必须去看看。请你准我辞了。And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

左咡

又有一个说，我买了五对牛，要去试一试。请你准我辞了。And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

左咡

又有一个说，我才娶了妻，所以不能去。And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

左咡

那仆人回来，把这事都告诉了主人。家主就动怒，对仆人说，快出去到城里大街小巷，领那贫穷的，残废的，瞎眼的，瘸腿的来。So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

左咡

仆人说，主阿，你所吩咐的已经办了，还有空座。And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
