左咡

你们只要求他的国，这些东西就必加给你们了。But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

左咡

这最小的事，你们尚且不能作，为什么还忧虑其馀的事呢。If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

左咡

你想乌鸦，也不种，也不收。又没有仓，又没有库，神尚且养活他。你们比飞鸟是何等的贵重呢。Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

左咡

你们那一个能用思虑，使寿数多加一刻呢。或作使身量多加一肘呢And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

左咡

因为生命胜于饮食，身体胜于衣裳。The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

左咡

耶稣又对门徒说，所以我告诉你们，不要为生命忧虑吃什么。为身体忧虑穿什么。And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

左咡

凡为自己积财，在神面前却不富足的，也是这样。So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

左咡

然后要对我的灵魂说，灵魂哪，你有许多财物积存，可作多年的费用。只管安安逸逸的吃喝快乐吧。And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

左咡

神却对他说，无知的人哪，今夜必要你的灵魂。你所豫备的，要归谁呢。But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

左咡

又说，我要这吗办。要把我的仓房拆了，另盖更大的。在那里好收藏我一切的粮食和财物。And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
