辩论已经多了，彼得就起来，说，诸位弟兄，你们知道神早已在你们中间拣选了我，叫外邦人从我口中得听福音之道，而且相信。And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

知道人心的神，也为他们作了见证。赐圣灵给他们，正如给我们一样。And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

又藉着信，洁净了他们的心，并不分他们我们。And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

现在为什么试探神，要把我们祖宗和我们所不能负的轭，放在门徒的颈项上呢。Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

我们得救，乃是因主耶稣的恩，和他们一样，这是我们所信的。But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

众人都默默无声，听巴拿巴和保罗，述说神藉他们在外邦人所行的神迹奇事。Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
