圣灵既然禁止他们在亚细亚讲道，他们就经过弗吕家，加拉太一带地方。Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

到了每西亚的边界，他们想要往庇推尼去，耶稣的灵却不许。After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

他们就越过每西亚，下到特罗亚去。And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.

小北

在夜间有异象现与保罗。有一个马其顿人，站着求他说，请你过到马其顿来帮助我们。And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

小北

保罗既看见这异象，我们随既想要往马其顿去，以为神召我们传福音给那里的人听。And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

于是从特罗亚开船，一直行到撒摩特喇，第二天到了尼亚波利。Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

从那里来到腓立比，就是马其顿这一方的头一个城。也是罗马的驻防城。我们在这城里住了几天。And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.

当安息日，我们出城门，到了河边，知道那里有一个祷告的地方，我们就坐下对那聚会的妇女讲道。And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

有一个卖紫色布疋的妇人，名叫吕底亚，是推雅推喇城的人，素来敬拜神。他听见了，主就开导他的心，叫他留心听保罗所讲的话。And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

他和他一家，既领了洗，便求我们说，你们若以为我是真信主的，（或作你们若以为我是忠心事奉主的）请到我家里来住。于是强留我们。And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
