禁卒就把这话告诉保罗说，官长打发人来叫释放你们。如今可以出监，平平安安的去吧。And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

保罗却说，我们是罗马人，并没有定罪，他们就在众人面前打了我们，又把我们下在监里。现在要私下撵我们出去吗，这是不行的。叫他们自己来领我们出去吧。But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

差役把这话回禀官长。官长听见他们是罗马人，就害怕了。And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.

[BR]于是来劝他们，领他们出来，请他们离开那城。
[BR]And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

[BR]二人出了监，往吕底亚家里去。见了弟兄们，劝慰他们一番，就走了。
[BR]And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

[BR]保罗和西拉，经过暗妃波里，亚波罗尼亚，来到帖撒罗尼迦，在那里有犹太人的会堂。
[BR]Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

他们说，百夫长哥尼流是个义人，敬畏神，为犹太通国所称赞，他蒙一位圣天使指示，叫他请你到他家里去，听你的话。And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

彼得请他们进去，住了一宿。Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

次日起身和他们同去，还有约帕的几个弟兄同着他去。又次日，他们进入凯撒利亚。哥尼流已经请了他的亲属密友，等候他们。And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

彼得一进去，哥尼流就迎接他，俯伏在他脚前拜他。And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
