他便知道这正是耶稣对他说，你的儿子活了的时候，他自己全家就都信了。So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

左咡

这是耶稣在加利利行的第二件神迹，是他从犹太回去以后行的。This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

[BR]这事以后，到了犹太的一个节期。耶稣就上耶路撒冷去。After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

在耶路撒冷，靠近羊门，有一个池子，希伯来话叫作毕士大，旁边有五个廊子。Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

里面躺着瞎眼的，瘸腿的，血气枯乾的，许多病人。（有古卷在此有等候水动In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

因为有天使按时下池搅动那水，水动之后，谁先下去，无论什么病，就痊愈了）。For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

在那里有一个人，病了三十八年。And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

耶稣看见他躺着，知道他病了许久，就问他说，你要痊愈吗。When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

左咡

病人回答说，先生，水动的时候，没有人把我放在池子里。我正去的时候，就有别人比我先下去。The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

耶稣对他说，起来，拿你的褥子走吧。Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
