妇人立刻仆倒在彼得脚前，断了气。那些人进来，见他已经死了，就抬出去，埋在他丈夫旁边。
Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband

妇人说，我知道弥赛亚，（就是那称为基督的）要来。他来了，必将一切的事都告诉我们。The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

耶稣说，这和你说话的就是他。Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

当下门徒回来，就希奇耶稣和一个妇人说话。只是没有人说，你是要什么。或说，你为什么和他说话。And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

那妇人就留下水罐子，往城里去，对众人说，The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

左咡

你们来看，有一个人将我素来所行的一切事，都给我说出来了，莫非这就是基督吗。Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

左咡

众人就出城往耶稣那里去。Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
