耶和华在西奈山对摩西说，
And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying

你晓谕以色列人说，你们到了我所赐你们那地的时候，地就要向耶和华守安息。
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD

小北

六年要耕种田地，也要修理葡萄园，收藏地的出产。
Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof

小北

第七年，地要守圣安息，就是向耶和华守的安息，不可耕种田地，也不可修理葡萄园。
But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard

小北

遗落自长的庄稼不可收割，没有修理的葡萄树也不可摘取葡萄。这年，地要守圣安息。
That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land

小北

地在安息年所出的，要给你和你的仆人，婢女，雇工人，并寄居的外人当食物。
And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee

小北

这年的土产也要给你的牲畜和你地上的走兽当食物。

And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat

小北

你要计算七个安息年，就是七七年。这便为你成了七个安息年，共是四十九年。

And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years

小北

当年七月初十日，你要大发角声，这日就是赎罪日，要在遍地发出角声。
Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land

小北

第五十年，你们要当作圣年，在遍地给一切的居民宣告自由。这年必为你们的禧年，各人要归自己的产业，各归本家。
And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family
