左咡

论到基督，你们的意见如何。他是谁的子孙呢。他们回答说，是大卫的子孙。Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

左咡

耶稣说，这样，大卫被圣灵感动，怎吗还称他为主。说，He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

左咡

主对我主说，你坐在我的右边，等我把你仇敌，放在你的脚下。The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

左咡

大卫既称他为主，他怎吗又是大卫的子孙呢。If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

左咡

他们没有一个人能回答一言。从那日以后，也没有人敢再问他什么。And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

说，文士和法利赛人，坐在摩西的位上。Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

凡他们所吩咐你们的，你们都要谨守，遵行。但不要效法他们的行为。因为他们能说不能行。All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

左咡

他们把难担的重担，捆起来搁在人的肩上。但自己一个指头也不肯动。For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

左咡

他们一切所作的事，都是要叫人看见。所以将佩戴的经文做宽了，衣裳的？？子做长了。But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
