左咡

喜爱筵席上的首座，会堂里的高位。And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

左咡

又喜爱人在街市上问他安，称呼他拉比。（拉比就是夫子）And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

左咡

但你们不要受拉比的称呼。因为只有一位是你们的夫子。你们都是弟兄。But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

左咡

也不要称呼地上的人为父。因为只有一位是你们的父，就是在天上的父。And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

左咡

你们中间谁为大，谁就要作你们的用人。But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

左咡

凡自高的必降为卑，自卑的必升为高。And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

左咡

你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了。因为你们正当人前把天国的门关了。自己不进去，正要进去的人，你们也不容他们进去。（有古卷在此有But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

[BR]你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了，因为你们侵吞寡妇的家产，假意作很长的祷告，你们要受更重的刑罚）Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

左咡

你们这假冒为善的文士法利赛人有祸了。因为你们走遍洋海陆地，勾引一个人入教。既入了教，却使他作地狱之子，比你们还加倍。Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

你们这瞎眼领路的有祸了。你们说，凡指着殿起誓的，这算不得什么。只是凡指着殿中金子起誓的，他就该谨守。Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
