约过了一小时，又有一个人极力的说，他实在是同那人一夥的。因为他也是加利利人。And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.

彼得说，你这个人，我不晓得你说的是什么。正说话之间鸡就叫了。And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.

主转过身来，看彼得。彼得便想起主对他所说的话，今日鸡叫以先，你要三次不认我。And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

他就出去痛哭。And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

看守耶稣的人戏弄他，打他，And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.

他们还用别的话辱骂他。And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.

天一亮，民间的众长老连祭司长带文士都聚会。把耶稣带到他们的公会里，And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,

说，你若是基督，就告诉我们。耶稣说，我告诉你们，你们也不信。Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

我若问你们，你们也不回答。And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.
