弟兄们，圣灵藉大卫的口，在圣经上，预言领人捉拿耶稣的犹大。这话是必须应验的。Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
这人用他作恶的工价，买了一块田，以后身子仆倒，肚腹崩裂，肠子都流出来。Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
住在耶路撒冷的众人都知道这事，所以按着他们那里的话，给那块田起名叫亚革大马，就是血田的意思。And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
因为诗篇上写着说，愿他的住处，变为荒场，无人在内居住。又说，愿别人得他的职分。For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
就是从约翰施洗起，直到主离开我们被接上升的日子为止，必须从那常与我们作伴的人中，立一位与我们同作耶稣复活的见证。Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
众人就祷告说，主阿，你知道万人的心，求你从这两个人中，指明你所拣选的是谁，叫他得这使徒的位分。And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
