保罗又住了多日，就辞别了弟兄，坐船往叙利亚去，百基拉，亚居拉和他同去。他因为许过愿，就在坚革哩剪了头发。And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow

到了以弗所，保罗就把他们留在那里，自己进了会堂，和犹太人辩论。And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.

众人请他多住些日子，他却不允。When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not;

左咡

就辞别他们说，神若许我，我还要回到你们这里。于是开船离了以弗所。But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

在凯撒利亚下了船，就上耶路撒冷去问教会安，随后下安提阿去。And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.

住了些日子，又离开那里，挨次经过加拉太和弗吕家地方，坚固众门徒。And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.

有一个犹太人，名叫亚波罗，来到以弗所。他生在亚力山太，是有学问的，最能讲解圣经。（学问或作口才）。And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

这人已经在主的道上受了教训，心里火热，将耶稣的事，详细讲论教训人。只是他单晓得约翰的洗礼。This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

他在会堂放胆讲道，百基拉，亚居拉听见，就接他来，将神的道给他讲解更加详细。And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

他想要往亚该亚去。弟兄们就勉励他，并写信请门徒接待他。（或作弟兄们就写信劝门徒接待他）他到了那里，多帮助那蒙恩信主的人。And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
