就说，等告你的人来到，我要细听你的事，便吩咐人把他看守在希律的衙门里。I will hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.

过了五天，大祭司亚拿尼亚，同几个长老，和一个辩士帖土罗，下来，向巡抚控告保罗。And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.

保罗被提了来，帖土罗就告他说，And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,

左咡

腓利斯大人，我们因你得以大享太平，并且这一国的弊病，因着你的先见，得以更正了。我们随时随地，满心感谢不尽。We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.

惟恐多说，你嫌烦絮，只求你宽容听我们说几句话。Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.

我们看这个人，如同瘟疫一般，是鼓动普天下众犹太人生乱的，又是拿撒勒教党里的一个头目。For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

连圣殿他也想要污秽。我们把他捉住了。（有古卷在此有要按我们的律法审问。Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.

不料千夫长吕西亚前来甚是强横从我们手中把他夺去，吩咐告他的人到你这里来）。But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands

你自己究问他，就可以知道我们告他的一切事了。Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.

众犹太人也随着告他说，事情诚然是这样。And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
