[BR]为我弟兄，我骨肉之亲，就是自己被咒诅，与基督分离，我也愿意。
[BR]For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

他们是以色列人。那儿子的名分，荣耀，诸约，律法，礼仪，应许，都是他们的。
Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

但如今在这里再没有可传的地方，而且这好几年，我切心想望到西班牙去的时候，可以到你们那里。But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

左咡

盼望从你们那里经过，得见你们，先与你们彼此交往，心里稍微满足，然后蒙你们送行。Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

但现在我往耶路撒冷去，供给圣徒。But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

左咡

甚至我从耶路撒冷，直转到以利哩古，到处传了基督的福音。Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

我立了志向，不在基督的名被称过的地方传福音，免得建造在别人的根基上。Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

就如经上所记，未曾闻知他信息的，将要看见。未曾听过的，将要明白。But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

左咡

我因多次被拦阻，总不得到你们那里去。For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.

左咡

又问为主劳苦的土非拿氏和土富撒氏安。问可亲爱为主多受劳苦的彼息氏安。Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
