左咡

因为你们是重价买来的。所以要在你们的身子荣耀神。For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

左咡

论到你们信上所题的事，我说男不近女倒好。Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

左咡

但要免淫乱的事，男人当各有自己的妻子，女子也当各有自己的丈夫。Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

左咡

丈夫当用合宜之分待妻子，妻子待丈夫也要如此。Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

左咡

妻子没有权柄主张自己的身子，乃在丈夫。丈夫也没有权柄主张自己的身子，乃在妻子。The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

左咡

夫妻不可彼此亏负，除非两相情愿，暂时分房，为要专心祷告方可，以后仍要同房，免得撒但趁着你们情不自禁，引诱你们。Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency

[BR]我说这话，原是准你们的，不是命你们的。But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

左咡

我愿意众人像我一样。只是各人领受神的恩赐，一个是这样，一个是那样。For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

左咡

我对着没有嫁娶的和寡妇说，若他们常像我就好。I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

左咡

倘若自己禁止不住，就可以嫁娶。与其欲火攻心，倒不如嫁娶为妙。But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
