男人本不该蒙着头，因为他是神的形像和荣耀，但女人是男人的荣耀。For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

起初，男人不是由女人而出。女人乃是由男人而出。For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

并且男人不是为女人造的。女人乃是为男人造的。Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

因此，女人为天使的缘故，应当在头上有服权柄的记号。For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

然而照主的安排，女也不是无男，男也不是无女。Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

因为女人原是由男人而出，男人也是由女人而出。但万有都是出乎神。For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

你们自己审察，女人祷告神，不蒙着头，是合宜的吗。Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

你们的本性不也指示你们，男人若有长头发，便是他的羞辱吗。Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

但女人有长头发，乃是他的荣耀。因为这头发是给他作盖头的。But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
