你们若单请你弟兄的安，比人有什么长处呢。就是外邦人不也是这样行吗。And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

小北

所以你们要完全，像你们的天父完全一样。Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

小北

[BR]你们要小心，不可将善事行在人的面前，故意叫他们看见。若是这样，就不能得你们天父的赏赐了。Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

小北

所以你施舍的时候，不可在你前面吹号，像那假冒为善的人，在会堂里和街道上所行的，故意要得人的荣耀。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

小北

你施舍的时候，不要叫左手知道右手所作的。But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

小北

要叫你施舍的事行在暗中，你父在暗中察看，必报答你。（有古卷作必在明处报答你）That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

小北

你们祷告的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，爱站在会堂里，和十字路口上祷告，故意叫人看见。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

小北

你祷告的时候，要进你的内屋，关上门，祷告你在暗中的父，你父在暗中察看，必然报答你。But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

小北

你们祷告，不可像外邦人，用许多重复话。他们以为话多了必蒙垂听。But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

小北

你们不可效法他们。因为你们没有祈求以先，你们所需用的，你们的父早已知道了。Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
