凡耶稣所到的地方，或村中，或城里，或乡间，他们都将病人放在街市上，求耶稣只容他们摸他的衣裳？？子。凡摸着的人，就都好了。And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

[BR]有法利赛人，和几个文士，从耶路撒冷来，到耶稣那里聚集。Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

他们曾看见他的门徒中，有人用俗手，就是没有洗的手，吃饭。And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

小北

（原来法利赛人，和犹太人，都拘守古人的遗传，若不仔细洗手，就不吃饭。For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

小北

从市上来，若不洗浴，也不吃饭，还有好些别的规矩，他们历代拘守，就是洗杯，罐，铜器，等物）。And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.

小北

法利赛人和文士问他说，你的门徒为什么不照古人的遗传，用俗手吃饭呢。Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

小北

耶稣说，以赛亚指着你们假冒为善之人所说的预言，是不错的，如经上说，这百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，心却远离我。He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

小北

他们将人的吩咐，当作道理教导人，所以拜我也是枉然。Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

小北

你们是离弃神的诫命，拘守人的遗传。For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

小北

又说，你们诚然是废弃神的诫命，要守自己的遗传。And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
