左咡

但这因信得救的理，还未来以先，我们被看守在律法之下，直圈到那将来的真道显明出来。But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

左咡

这样律法是我们训蒙的师傅，引我们到基督那里，使我们因信称义。Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

左咡

但这因信得救的理，既然来到，我们从此就不在师傅的手下了。But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

左咡

所以你们因信基督耶稣，都是神的儿子。For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

左咡

你们受洗归入基督的，都是披戴基督了。For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

左咡

并不分犹太人，希腊人，自主的，为奴的，或男或女。因为你们在基督耶稣里都成为一了。There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

左咡

你们既属乎基督，就是亚伯拉罕的后裔，是照着应许承受产业的了。And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

左咡

我说那承受产业的，虽然是全业的主人，但为孩童的时候，却与奴仆毫无分别。Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

左咡

乃在师傅和管家的手下，直等他父亲豫定的时候来到。But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

左咡

我们为孩童的时候，受管于世俗小学之下，也是如此。Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
